Dr. Salma

Dr. Asem Salma is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon in skull base, brain tumor, functional neurosurgery and spine surgery from the Ohio State university and University of Illinois at Peoria. He also has unique and rigorous neurosurgical training internationally.

He is a multi-board-certified neurosurgeon who practices now in Lima, Ohio. He has a strong research experience. He spent almost two years as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Director of Operations of Dardinger Microneurosugical Skull Base Lab at the Ohio State university. He has more than 32 publications in neurosurgery (peer review articles and book chapters).

His interests in neurosurgery are:

  • Dr. Salma has a special interest in the application of natural biologics and regenerative medicine in neurosurgery especially after spinal cord injury and brain injury following stroke, trauma or in the context of degenerative neuro diseases.
